You’ll never face the demanding effort of a hill, a mountain or a pass alone again… The new Xelius SL road bike won’t give you up when you need it, when the percentages force you to dig deeper inside. It’ll give you all the watts you give it, give you a boost when you restart and it’s light enough to get you to the summit in no time. This result is the result of many years of work and continuous research into performance in close collaboration with the Groupama-FDJ team. And it’s alongside riders like Thibaut Pinot and facing mythical climbs like Izoard, Angliru or Stelvio… that we’ve reinforced the climber’s temperament of our Xelius SL.
Don’t be fooled by appearances – small details make big differences. While maintaining its unique design and dynamic features, we’ve striven for excellence with our new Xelius SL carbon frame kit.
To increase performance in climbs, our R & D teams focused their work on weight gain while maintaining its high level of rigidity. The few grams lost thus improve the incredible feeling of lightness and facilitate restarts.
We also improved the build quality of the UD carbon monohull frame with latex bladder moulding technology, reducing excess resin inside the tubes for a perfect finish.
Its forms borrowed from our aero Aircode SL bike give it more edginess and stability at high speed, positioning it as an even more versatile bike and perfectly at ease in the valleys between two passes.

The frame is us… For the rest, we’ve selected the best components. The Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset is here to serve you! Discreet, fast and precise, with surprisingly smooth gear shifts. Easy to use, it works with you and facilitates the gear change. You’ll be struck by its excellent braking and the perfect ergonomics of the levers for a good grip. The Dt-Swiss PR 1400 Dicut 21 wheels set the standard for aluminium wheels. Wide, asymmetrical and lightweight, the rims offer an exceptional stiffness-weight ratio. When it comes to the handlebars and seat area, the Zipp˜/˜Lapierre combo gives you rigidity and lightness. Thanks to its new-generation ergonomics, the Prologo Dimension T4.0 seat allows optimal weight distribution of the rider, for an incredible comfort, including long distance
