I can’t recommend this team enough! Firstly the serviced both my children’s bike .... top notch. Then I decided to get... my two relics out and have the brought up to standard expecting to be told..... can’t do these. nope non of that nothing was a problem both bikes (Giant&land Rover) were returned in full working order with attached work sheets as to what has been done ✅ Thanks to Patrick and his team keep up the great work. I know nothing about bikes and I'm out of shape. like others have mentioned I've been to some proper independent bike... shops and more or less been turned around and told where Halfords was with a bit of a sneer. well I came to PAC, and had a quick chat with Pat, told him what I wanted the bike to do and within half an hour he came back to me with the Raleigh motus ebike. its the easiest, most pleasant bike I've ever ridden. the build quality, the snappy gear changes, the simple computer and comfortable ride all bring it together. Pat and Josh really know what they're doing and the experience shines through. despite not being a 'proper cyclist I've always felt welcome here and I have absolute faith in these guys and what they can do and what they know. 10/10 would definitely get my next bike from here.read more

Been meaning to write this for some while now! Can’t recommend Patrick Healy enough. I rang up at 14.30 on a Tuesday to... discuss a new bike for my four year old, Lily-Mae. Pat explained he was about to shut up shop due to shorter hours with Covid-19, I’ll hang on for you though, by quarter to three I was there and the brochures were already out with two sample bicycles to look at!!! By 15.00 we’d made a choice and Pat was on the phone ordering the bike 😀 Within 24 hours we were picking the bike up, complete with stabilisers. What a service. Lily-Mae was over the moon. Brilliant bike shop with knowledgeable staff. Took it in to have my gears adjusted on my new bike that i sadly didnt... buy from here. Found a few other issues that they could sort but back to the original shop to sort the buckled wheels. If you want anything doing get yourself here. I will be back if i need anything else doing. Myself and hubby were inspired to 'get bikes' after enjoying hire bikes on a well known family forest break. We aren't... serious (well yet anyway!) cyclists, and were just looking for lightweight, wellmade and quality bikes for family bike rides. So happy we stumbled across Peak Ascent Cycles! Super helpful and friendly owner Patrick sorted us out with ease, no messing about or hard sell, just an obvious enjoyment for what he does. A few days after ordering, Patrick delivered and fitted our bikes to us at home today, baby seat fitted as well. Now we are looking forward mini and bigger adventures on our new bikes. Setting the day aside to help find my mum a new bike we were rather disappointed and disheartened when we had a bad... experience at the first bike centre we enquired at. We decided to enquire at Peak acent being one our local bike shops. I was so impressed with the service Patrick and Josh provided. They were so helpful and clearly knew their stuff! We didn’t find them pushing for a sale only giving us the guidance and help we needed. They sought out a bike within the spec we had given, a Repton hybrid and after a test ride my mum fell in love. dropped in with a flat tyre on a pram. not something he should be dealing with but instead of sending us packing he... took the tyre off, fixed a puncture and refitted the tyre all without charge. He only took money when we bought a new inner tube but didn't charge to fit it. He inflated all the tyres to make sure we were good to go. Genuine bloke and really cares about service. highly highly recommended!read more

I LOVE this bike shop! No, seriously I do! Usually, as a woman of an over the hill (and back) age...well, no, just as... a woman in a bike shop, I'm met with either the 'bike snob' or the 'couldn't care less' type staff. So you can't begin to imagine the warmth I felt when I entered this shop and we chatted, about the weather, about BKools and Track cycling - I've never tried it, "You should, it's fun" - and they just spoke to me like a normal human being. No hard sell, all very relaxing informative conversation... Go! You'll love it xread more
