Parking in Buxton during the busy tourist season can be difficult, so we have written this guide to try and help our customers decide where is most convenient to leave their cars when parking near Peak Ascent Cycles.
There are a limited number of parking spaces immediately outside Peak Ascent Cycles. These places are 30 minute short stay only (between 8am and 6pm) and require the display of a parking ticket which can be sourced from the machine across the road from Peak Ascent.
The next closest parking spaces are to the South East of the shop on Hardwick Street and the North West, behind the Crescent on George Street. Hardwick Street is your best option as you can park for free, for up to one hour. There is a short walk of about 90 seconds to the shop. The parking on George Street is less abundant, pay and display for up to four hours.
For more guaranteed parking availability, we would recommend parking in Spring Gardens car park, the largest in Buxton. This car park is accessed via the roundabout between Station Road and Bridge Street. We would recommend you drive into the car park, following the main access around the back of Waitrose. Carry on and park as far into the corner as possible. There are pedestrian steps and ramp access which will allow you to leave the car park on foot in viewing distance of the shop. Spring Gardens Car Park is pay and display, allowing stays up to four hours. We’ve created a diagram to help visualise where to access the car park, and where’s best to park.
