E-bike Hire

Did you know we offer an E-bike Hire service to anyone looking to go for a cycling adventure in the Peak District?
We cater for parties up to four on hybrid E-bikes.
Pricing is £55 per day (9:30 am - 4:30 pm) per bike and £40 for half a day (9:30 am - 1 pm) or (1 pm - 4:30 pm) with helmet hire included.
If you have one of last year's leaflets with the old prices, bring it to the shop and we will honour those prices until the end of summer 2024.

Peak Ascent Cycles e-MTB Guided Tours
Looking to have an awesome adventure out in the Peak District? Then why not try one of our e-bike guided tours, perfect for friends and families. We cater for mixed abilities, young to old or new to e-bikes, its a great way to spend a day in the stunning Peak District countryside, with the local knowledge and experience from our fully qualified British cycling MTB guide.
Our guided tours cater for novice to intermediate riders from 14 years old and above, with varying routes across the Peak District. E–bikes are a game changer, if you have never experienced riding with motor assistance then now is the perfect opportunity, they make the up hills feel like flat ground, and allow you to go much further than you ever would on a normal bike!
Our Routes:
Buxton Circular
A beginner friendly loop taking in local history with spectacular scenery around historic Buxton, this ride starts at Peak Ascent Cycles and covers nearly 40km through the Goyt Valley, over Axe edge Moor and into the White Peak before finishing back at the Bike Shop.
Ladybower Loop
A beginner/intermediate ride with a mix of gritstone and limestone through the heart of the valley made famous by the dambusters 617 squadron. Amazing views of the reservoir and some varied terrain to make for an exciting adventure.
Chatsworth Loop
A great beginner/intermediate adventure. From the meeting point you will find yourself riding nearly 30km through one of Derbyshire’s most stunning natural parklands with views of the majestic Chatsworth house.
Hayfield Circular
A loop of pure gritstone with great elevation and stunning views. Varied terrain to suit any ability of rider.
About our Guides:
Our guide is a fully qualified British cycling MTB leader with over 35 years of riding experience. Born and reared in the Peak District, our aim is that you have a great days riding adventure which creates lasting memories.You’re in safe hands, with expert bike knowledge, tips and riding techniques, we can give you the right advice and guidance for an excellent riding adventure. We have a great network of natural terrain here in the peaks to suit all skill levels, if you are an experienced rider looking for a more demanding adventure, our guides can incorporate some rougher trails into your ride.
What’s included?
-A British Cycling fully qualified MTB guide to take you on your adventure and teach you mountain biking skills.
-One of the latest Lapierre E-bikes to ride
-A Helmet.
How It Works?
-Our tours run weekdays and weekends.
-All rides include a refreshment stop.
-We arrange a meeting point that’s convenient if your ride is not the Buxton circular route, in which case you start at the shop.
-Pricing is £80.00 per person and payment must be made before the tour starts.
-A risk assessment of each rider will be made on the day.
